Book review – Pegasus Publishers

The Voice by John Reid.

The Voice is a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat crime thriller. It’s well written with a number of storylines running in parallel which all come together at the end with a big crescendo! It’s one of those books that you just can’t put down!

I was a little apprehensive that I might not follow the storyline because I hadn’t read any other books in the series; however, I really shouldn’t have worried; each character is introduced perfectly and I had no issues with following the characters or the storyline.

The book was right up my street! I’m

a big fan of both crime fiction and military related fiction and this was a perfect synergy of both. The twists and turns made it a gripping read and I can’t wait to read another DCI Burt book.

It gets five stars from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
